NEWS IT managers should take care over what their single employees are accessing on the Web. This year's Wedding and Home Magazine bride of the year, Tami Gilbert met her husband-to-be on an Internet dating site. The happy couple met last year while Tami, a trainee nurse at Sheffield University, was trawling the Web to avoid revising for her exams. After three weeks of email contact, the two arranged to meet. Two months after that Chris, a senior tutor in computer science at Nottingham University, popped the question. Christine Prunty, editor of Wedding and Home Magazine, claimed the couple's tale is a fresh and modern story of romance. The couple won £30,000 of prizes including a dress, a cake, a honeymoon in the Maldives and, rather less romantically, a dishwasher.
