NEWS Cisco has bought privately held American Internet Corporation (AIC) for its IP address management and Internet access software. Cisco will exchange $56m worth of shares for all outstanding shares and options in the US-based firm. The deal is expected to be completed by the beginning of October, although the major shareholders of AIC have already given full support to the acquisition.
