NEWS PSINet is to buy Rimnet, a Japanese Internet service provider (ISP), for an undisclosed sum. The purchase comes on the back of a string of recent acquisitions around the world, seeing PSINet expand its operations in Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and the US. Rimnet principally serves the Japanese business market, offering domestic and international Internet telephony, international Internet faxing and application development services.
