In brief: BT strives for Belgian breakthrough

NEWS BT is increasing its efforts to break into the Belgian market by offering discounts of up to 20 per cent to business customers. Called BTtel, the service offers volume discounts for small and medium sized businesses. Currently available in Antwerp and Brussels, it will go nationwide next summer. BT Belgium is hiring dark fibre from Belgian railway operator, SNCB, but will later lay its own lines.
