NEWS Excite will complete the European roll out of its free email service on Monday with a national launch in France. Customers in the UK and Germany already have access to email from their local sites. Elizabeth Vancouvering, head of marketing for Excite UK, said: "We have now reached our priority markets. We are working on search services for the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy, but we are not planning to launch free email services there." Vancouvering said free email encourages surfers to visit Excite to collect their mail. Excite developed the service to collect revenues from local advertisers. "We are now concentrating on version two of our kids email, which is due to roll out in the UK in October," she said. "This may launch across Europe at a later date."
