In brief: iMac debut at Tesco

NEWS UK supermarket chain Tesco is expanding its range of off-the-shelf computers to include the new Apple iMac machine. Stores in Cardiff and Stirling will offer the £999 iMac for a month as part of a trial scheme. Specially trained staff will be on hand to demonstrate the machine's capabilities. The scheme will be iMac's first real consumer test in the UK and both companies have said they will closely monitor customer reaction to the bondi blue machine.
