Xedia unveils Net access package

NEWS Xedia Corporation has launched an Internet access package which enables Internet service providers (ISPs) and telcos to offer quality of service guarantees. The company claims Access Point can deliver business-class queuing technology which makes a distinction between important business traffic and what it calls "economy" traffic - for example, consumer email. Chris Lee will head up the operations in Europe and he told Silicon News in an exclusive interview that within six to 12 months, European ISPs will be able to offer the same quality of service that US companies are already enjoying. He said: "A business class service means higher access speeds, and a predictable, manageable and secure service." The full version of the interview will be published exclusively on Silicon later this month.
