NEWS Netscape's belief in free source code was vindicated yesterday when Snap.com announced plans to distribute a customised version of Netscape Communicator from its portal site. Visitors to Snap.com will be able to download a version of the Netscape browser that includes tool bars for Snap's own content. In a company statement, Netscape said that around 14,600 companies are planning to distribute over 156 million free copies of its Communicator software.
