NEWS Logica has won a contract with Boots The Chemist to automate its forthcoming home shopping delivery service. The UK retailer has decided to introduce a home shopping service for its line of 'Mother and Baby' product, and selected Logica's Warehouse Orders and Returns Control System (Worcs) to underpin the project. A spokeswoman for Logica said this is the first home shopping venture undertaken by Boots. "The company is working on other home shopping projects and this could lead to online versions at some point," she said. The spokeswoman also hinted at projects involving Worcs and other high street stores that are in the pipeline, but declined to name any specific companies.
