Guernsey firms get free phone calls

By Lisa Burroughes, 12 November 1998 17:27

NEWS Business customers in Guernsey are being offered unlimited free calls across Europe. The offer is the result of an alliance between Guernsey Telecom and UK-based telco, Esprit. Guernsey businesses, consisting largely of international banks and multinational companies, will be charged for calls to the UK or outside Europe, but will have free access to Esprit's digital pan-European network. Esprit has been running a similar scheme in the Isle of Man over the last two years.
