AP signs satellite deal with BT

NEWS News and information service Associated Press (AP) has upgraded its global network with a £1m, three-year deal with BT Global Satellite Services. The system is designed to send news broadcasts, text and images from AP headquarters in London directly to its customers' premises. IT director Kelvin Holland said the system will enable the company to reduce queues at peak times and increase speed of delivery.
