NEWS The European Patent Office has joined the information age with the launch of an online patent database. The database, called Esp@cenet, has been developed by Verity, with input from the World Intellectual Property Organisation. Details of all current patent applications are now available over the Net - a move which the database's developers claim will put Europe ahead of the pack when it comes to dissemination of patent information.
