NEWS Microsoft has joined forces with Hong Kong's largest Internet service provider (ISP) as part of a £1bn project to offer multimedia and software over the Web. Under the terms of the partnership with Hong Kong Telecom -known as Zoom - the software giant will provide engineers, architects and software. Speaking at the announcement, Microsoft's CEO Bill Gates said users would be able to rent Windows applications by downloading them from Hong Kong Telecom's server. Films, online shopping and interactive games would also be available.
