NEWS Microsoft and Intel are today expected to launch a major push into the corporate telecoms market, by announcing an alliance with Nortel and Hewlett-Packard (HP). According to reports in the Financial Times, the alliance will see Nortel using Intel microprocessors and Microsoft Windows NT software in its routers and switches. HP will sell the products into its corporate customer base. The move is aimed at tapping into the growing demand for 'convergent' voice and data networks.
