Scoot signs messaging deal with Energis

By John Oates, 22 March 1999 17:15

NEWS Directory service, Scoot - formerly Talking Pages - has signed a deal with Energis to automatically connect people to the company they are enquiring about. Scoot aims to charge businesses per inquiry they receive, rather than using the present system, where they pay a one-off charge just to be listed. Energis is providing the link between Scoot and its subscribers, who will also get discounts on outgoing calls with the telco. The deal is scheduled to go live in the autumn.
