NEWS Video Networks, the Hertfordshire-based video on demand company, is holding talks with Carlton Communications and Granada Group about future investment in the company. Video Networks has been trialling its interactive digital television service in Hull and West London. It offers banking services, home shopping, films and games. Investment house, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and US bank, Allen & Co have also been retained to try and find potential investors in the company. However, Video Networks has faced stiff competition since the launch last year of On Digital, Granada's own 30-channel digital terrestrial television operator.
