Nortel and Predictive join forces over global IP network

NEWS Nortel Networks has turned to Predictive, a network consulting and integration firm, to help it design an IP-based, global Internet service provider (ISP) for business users. Nortel hasn't yet named which company will ultimately run the ISP - but it will likely offer broadband Internet services. John Wright, Predictive MD for EMEA, told Silicon.com: "The fact that we have a blank sheet of paper in front of us allows us to design a leading edge, state-of-the-art network." Nortel said the network consulting company - which counts JP Morgan, Pfizer and Qwest among its customers - will simplify the complexities associated with global IP technology. New York-based Predictive launched in Europe at the beginning of the month.
