Nortel upgrades network management system

NEWS Nortel Networks is laying the foundations for its assault on LAN (local area network), WAN (wide area network) and telephony networks with a new version of the Optivity Network Management System (NMS). The company claims the system combines all aspects of managing a network and helps to reduce the time spent solving network problems. NMS 9.0 will be available in the second quarter with pricing starting from £10,000.
