NEWS The Virgin Entertainment Group will this week launch an online megastore in the US selling its complete high-street range of music, books and videos. The site, http://www.virginmega.com hopes to challenge sites like Amazon.com and CDNow. The company plans to launch a European version of the site later this year. Also on offer is Radio Free Virgin, a radio station offering 12 dedicated online music channels. Six of the channels provide live music feeds from in-store DJ's in London, New York and Paris. The venture will be headed up and managed by Virgin E-commerce, a new arm of the entertainment giant.
