Compaq and ICL offer one-stop-shop for retailers

NEWS Compaq has teamed up with ICL's retail systems division offering retailers an all-in-one package consisting of standards-based products, services and applications. The aim is to get retailers to move away from their existing legacy systems and combine the entire IT infrastructure onto one standards-based system. The two companies recently worked on an in-store project for Marks & Spencer and Compaq decided to focus on this vertical market.
