By John Oates, 11 June 1999 16:55

NEWS Electrical retailer, Comet, has picked Sequent to provide it with a data warehouse to store and analyse information about its customers. The system uses a Sequent NUMA-Q enterprise server, kept on Comet's premises but maintained remotely from Sequent's management centre in Weybridge. The system will allow advertising and brand analysis, basket analysis and stock control.
