Radius supplies furniture retailer with Sun-based system

NEWS Retail software specialist, Radius Systems, has announced a £1m contract to supply retail chain, Furniture Village, with a sales order processing system. Radius will provide Furniture Village with a fully integrated back-office serving environment and front-office sales processing system for its 20 retail outlets. The installation will be based around Radius's custom-designed Furniture Retail System, which, in turn, is based around Sun Microsystems hardware. Radius managing director, Steve Peaurt, said the company chooses to run its software solutions on Sun products because of their reliability, resilience and scalability.
