Level 3 puts London MAN in place

NEWS Level 3 Communications has completed the installation of a high-capacity fibre optic network for the City of London. The services specialist has also acquired a second gateway to cope with demand for broadband capacity from City-based businesses. The metropolitan area network (MAN) covers 33km, from Docklands and the City to the West End. Level 3 said the service will be ready for use by the third quarter of 2000.
