Eric Schmidt showers praise on NT

NEWS Eric Schmidt has ditched Novell and proclaimed the benefits of Microsoft Windows NT Server. Well, not quite. The Novell CEO and chairman probably isn't about to jump ship to his biggest rival - especially not after a long-awaited upturn in his company's fortunes (http://www.silicon.com/a32263 ). However, Microsoft is running a series of Web adverts featuring users who swear by the NT operating system. Among them is Eric Schmidt, director of IS, at US law firm Bricker and Eckler LLC. Blink and you'll miss the small print. Both Novell and Microsoft declined to comment on the revolving ad, or the pros and cons of cheeky Web campaigns.
