Nominet cuts .uk registration fees

NEWS The UK's national domain name registry, Nominet, is cutting the price of Web address registrations ending in .uk from £20 to £5 for two years. The price change will apply to all its members - mainly ISPs and second-level registrars - from 1 September. The fee for directly registering domain names with Nominet will remain unchanged at £80. The registry says the change in price reflects the amount of registrations over the past year, up from around 8,000 a month to 28,000.
