NEWS Localtel, the ISP behind screaming.net, has won a High Court victory against rival Telnet. The court ruled that Telnet cannot claim to have been the first to offer nationally available free time online. It now has until 15 September to revise its CD-ROMs, packaging and marketing material after breaching the Trade Descriptions Act 1968. Localtel has been no stranger to controversy in recent months - since launching screaming.net with retailer, Tempo, it has protested against the way BT has transferred customers to the calls plus Net access service.
