NEWS Dell, Ericsscon Nokia and Texas Instruments have unveiled a wireless networking system which provides data links for the next generation of PDAs and notebooks. HiperLAN 2 technology is aimed primarily at providing wireless Internet access. The consortium is currently working to standardise the technology with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute Project BRAN (Broadband Radio Access Networks).
