NEWS The former head of German television network, RTL, has forecasted that Net TV will provide stiff competition to the emerging pay television market in Germany. The executive, Helmut Thoma, who now works as a consultant for German media giant, Bertelsmann, said Net TV would not pose a threat to established free-to view TV stations. Bertelsmann is one of several German companies developing Internet TV.
