Football365 chief says trust is the key to ecommerce

NEWS Building a dedicated and trusting customer base is the key to ecommerce, according to founder of 365 Corporation, Danny Kelly. In an exclusive video interview with Silicon.com, the publisher, and radio and TV pundit, said "content is king on the Internet," but it means nothing without delivery. When founding Football365 and Music365, Kelly said building loyal users from day one had been his key obsession. Kelly is convinced that once users are attracted to a site you can then branch out into to other areas of content, giving new ecommerce opportunities. He said: "Once you have people who come to your site regularly, whatever they're about, you can then sell on to them, and push them into other areas." 365 Corporation is currently in the process of preparing for an IPO on the basis of the success of the online ventures. The company began broadcasting in February 1998, and now plans to float in December with a market valuation of approximately £260m.
