Coms.com unveils business messaging service

NEWS Internet start-up company, Coms.com, has launched a messaging service for the business market. Although not the first to offer this kind of service - other companies include Yac.com and Dolphin - it does claim to offer the lowest prices. Entrepreneur, Jason Drummond, is behind the 'follow me' telecoms service where customers are issued with a single number through which they can route all landline, mobile phone, fax, email or pager messages. The service is free to the number holder but costs callers 24p a minute at peak rates, 16p off-peak and 8p at weekends. This is less than some mobile calls but higher than landline charges. Yac.com, which launched this month, charges 32p a minute at peak rates, 22p off-peak and 10.5p at weekends.
