K-NET clinches £700,000 ATM contract

NEWS Tokyo Mitsubishi International has awarded systems integrator, K-NET, a £770,000 contract to supply and install a high-speed 'core-centric' ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) at its London headquarters. The network will let the company utilise multimedia services direct to the dealers' desks. The system is based around FORE Systems' ASX-switches (each providing up to 10Gbps of bandwidth), linked with multiple, load-sharing 622Mbps links, allowing the network to meet the requirements of an ATM to the desktop as well as offering a platform for future expansion.
