Maclaunch offers Apple users services portal

NEWS A Web site dedicated to Apple Macintosh users has launched a directory search facility of sites on the Internet that provide software, services and information for the computer. MacLaunch gives its users access to 1.2 million Web sites and lets media professionals search for downloadable images, graphics and animation as well as access Mac-compliant software for desktop design, Web browsing or standard office applications. Drew Linsalata, vice president of MacLaunch, said there is a Windows/Intel bias in services on the Internet which means standard portal sites fall short for the Mac user community.
