Reuters appointed as Dow Jones brief

NEWS Dow Jones has signed up Reuters as its principal supplier of financial information. The five year contract will require Reuters to supply financial data and pricing for The Wall Street Journals and the Dow Jones global indexes. Dow Jones used to generate its own financial information in-house, but earlier this year sold its Telerate division to Bridge Information Systems. The value of the new contract has not been disclosed.
