NEWS Casio and Panasonic have been demonstrating their latest products at the Consumer Electric Show in Las Vegas. Casio claims to have developed the world's first wristwatch camera - the VQV-1. The watch can store up to 100 black and white images in its 1Mb memory chip and has the ability to transmit those images to a PC. The Japanese giant will also be releasing the WMP-1V wrist audio player. This device can download MP3-format music from a PC and store over 30 minutes of CD quality sound or over an hour of FM broadcast quality sound. Meanwhile, Panasonic claims its virtual chef interactive microwave oven can record a recipe from the TV or download it from the Web and retain it for use at a later date. The products are due to be released this summer.
