Yahoo! Japan reaches $1m per share

NEWS Shares in Web portal Yahoo! Japan have become worth almost $1m each after recent rises, according to a report on Reuters. Shares in the company peaked at 101.4m yen, approximately equivalent to $960,000. The portal site - a joint venture between Softbank and Yahoo! Inc - is about to split its stock to create even more interest in the Internet venture. Yahoo's share price has risen 50-fold since its IPO in 1997.
