UK Christmas shoppers spend £175m online

NEWS Christmas shopping over the Internet resulted in a total spend of £175m and a lot of satisfied customers, according to a survey from Continental Research. Of the 2000 people questioned, the average spend was £97 per person, and 88 per cent of customers were either very satisfied or quite satisfied with the service they received. The survey also found that 28 per cent of UK homes - or 6.9 million homes - are now connected to the Internet, representing a total of 8.9 million people.
