NEWS UK bank, Woolwich, has launched a personal finance service for WAP-enabled mobile phones. The service enables users to view balances and transactions, pay bills and transfer money through a secure Internet link, and will initially be available to one hundred of the bank's customers. They have been provided with a Nokia 7110 WAP phone and line rental from Vodafone. From April, the service will be available to all Open Plan customers for current accounts as well as savings accounts.
