NEWS Telefonica's Internet arm, Terra Networks, is to launch an Internet travel agency with South American company Amadeus Global Travel distribution. The travel agency will offer holidays and flights to 26 European countries as well as South American markets. Amadeus has an existing partnership with Italian travel site eviaggi.com and more than 3,000 worldwide agencies use the company's technology, including Wal-Mart for their travel sites. Miguel Vermehren de Resseguier, marketing manager at Amadeus, welcomed the partnership claiming the company would continue to invest in offering travel Web sites around the world.
