Météo France forecasts weather on the Web

NEWS The French Met office, Météo France, has launched three pilot Web sites to gauge how users like to receive meteorological data. The sites, called Cirrus, Bora and Nimbus, offer differing formats of weather forecasts for France, Europe and the rest of the world. Bora displays the latest weather using colours to indicate potential forecasts. For example, orange would indicate a hot spell, green for a light wind and grey or white for fog. While Cirrus offers simplified thermal indicators for a three-day forecast in regions including mountainous and regions at sea level. The Nimbus Web site shows the weather by region on an interactive map. Users can click on areas to access the three-day forecast as well as tourist, historical and cultural information and links to other sites. See the following sites for more information:
