Ellison targets Web-enabled mobiles

NEWS Oracle has set up an Internet portal for Web-enabled mobile phone users. A subsidiary company, OracleMobile.com, which is supported through a strengthened partnership with mobile phone manufacturer Motorola, will manage the site. It will run on Motorola's Mobile Internet Exchange (MIX) communications platform. Oracle also announced partnerships with online retail and content companies including Amazon.com, E*Trade and Travelocity.com. Speaking in New York late last night, Oracle's founder Larry Ellison predicted that Web-enabled phones will soon outnumber PCs across the globe. You can find the site at http://www.oramobile.com
