Freeserve buys into Net telephony with NetCall deal

NEWS Freeserve has bought an 8.6 per cent share of Internet telephony business NetCall for £4.5m. As part of the deal, Netcall will buy 1.8 million shares in US unified messaging and collaboration services provider Telepost from Freeserve for £4.5m - constituting a 19.6 per cent stake of the company. The deal will see the UK ISP offer NetCall's HyperPhone Link service to its 1.9 million customers and its business partners. NetCall will work with Telepost on bilateral distribution arrangements in Europe and the US.
