T-Online to bid for Freeserve

NEWS T-Online, Europe's largest ISP, is set to make a bid for Freeserve, the largest Internet company in Britain. A successful bid by the Deutsche Telekom owned T-Online would create one of the world's biggest Internet companies with over seven million registered users. Since floating 12 days ago, T-Online shares have increased from E28.5 (£16.5) to E41 (£23.8). Deutsche Telekom had previously announced intentions to expand into Europe.
