Fibernet results - a sign of things to come

NEWS UK high-speed data company Fibernet has confounded analysts by reporting a profit of £1.5m for the quarter ending February 2000. Turnover was £18.2m compared with £5.4m for the same quarter the previous year and orders were valued at a total of £100m. Charles McGregor , chief executive of Fibernet, said future performance is likely to be boosted by accelerating DSL services and European expansion.
