Intel relieves strain on Web servers

By Julian Goldsmith, 8 May 2000 13:13

NEWS Intel has launched two network devices to speed up business-to-business transactions over the Internet. The NetStructure 7280 XML Director and the 7210 XML Accelerator are the latest offerings from Intel's Communications product division, and are designed to alleviate some of the pressure on servers. The company claims the devices will make transactions 150 times faster than currently possible. The products will be targeted at ASPs and large inhouse data centres.
