Cisco Q3 results show continued growth

NEWS Cisco Systems has announced its third quarter (Q3) results which show continued growth in line with a strengthening of the company's position as the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Cisco reported net sales for Q3 of $4.92bn - a 55 per cent increase on the same period last year - which brings total net sales for the first nine months of the fiscal year to $13.18bn. The actual net income for the first nine months of the year was $1.91bn, compared to $1.43bn over the same period last year, which equates to an income per share in Cisco Systems of $0.26 a $0.05 increase on the same period last year. The net income per share for all periods quoted reflects the two-for-one stock split as of 22 March 2000.
