Trojan Horse lies dormant in video clip

NEWS A destructive program that attacks Web sites and gives hackers remote control of PCs has been discovered by a US security company. Network Security Technologies discovered at least 2,000 home and business computers have been planted with the program which, due to a built-in defence mechanism allows it to remain undetected by a virus scanner. The executable program - hidden in a video clip - sends passwords and network information back to the hacker who is then either able to transform a user's machine into a 'zombie' - like those used in denial of service attacks. According to a report in CNN, Network Security Technologies are in discussions with the FBI and the government today over ways to stem the threat.
