NEWS Leaders in the Bluetooth technology debate will meet in Monte Carlo this week at the Bluetooth Congress to discuss the development of the short distance radio standard.
Ericsson, Intel, IBM and Sony are among the companies offering product updates and outlining plans for the Bluetooth 2.0 specification. Participants will also analyse upcoming product releases and interoperability testing.
Ericsson will also preview the Bluetooth mobile phones it unveiled two weeks ago. The T36 and R520 are expected in the fourth quarter 2000 and next year respectively.
Motorola announced yesterday it had entered an agreement with IBM and
Toshiba to provide wireless technology.
