France Telecom chief hints at Global One flotation

NEWS Global One, the France Telecom venture abandoned by Deutsche Telekom (DT) and Sprint last year, may be heading for flotation. France Telecom CEO, Danel Caclin, this week hinted at the future of the corporate telecoms business, saying that a flotation would allow Global One to issue share options to employees and bring in money for expansion. Caclin would like to see a return from Global One, which is not yet profitable and cost France Telecom $4.3bn in a buy-out from DT and Sprint.
