NEWS Cable and Wireless (C&W) is rumoured to be close to signing a E51.3bn (£32bn) takeover deal with Deutsche Telekom (DT), according to the latest issue of Germany's Focus Money newsmagazine. The article, which appears in today's edition of Focus Money, claims a buyout would form a key part of DT's global expansion plans. The rumour of a tie-up between the German giant and C&W first surfaced at the end of last year.
