NEWS The Mobile User Forum, a group claiming to be Europe's first community of corporate mobile computing users, will launch in the UK next month. The forum is backed by NetGroup - an online community for ebusiness professionals - and will bring together NetGroup's corporate members, industry experts and technology vendors to promote best practise and standardisation. In a statement, Tom O'Connor, chairman of the Mobile User Forum, said: "Personal digital assistants or handheld computers are emerging as a powerful corporate solution. "There are many informal groups of this sort in the US, but we believe that establishing this community within NetGroup will enable us to champion the development and adoption of handheld technologies here in Europe," O'Connor added. The forum's first meeting will be on 7 September at the Science Museum, London.
